Under Scans → Schedules, choose how often (daily, weekly or monthly), at what time and in which time zone. Pick one verified asset, or a tag to cover every asset that carries it. Start times vary by a few minutes.
A schedule uses the same checks as a manual scan: only verified assets, the authorization you accepted, and your plan's quota and concurrency. Your plan limits how many schedules you can have and how often they run.
Things to know
- If an asset is still being scanned when a run is due, that run is skipped.
- If a run is refused, for example the asset is no longer verified, you are notified with the reason.
- After three refusals or failed scans in a row the schedule pauses itself and notifies you. Fix the cause and resume it.
- After an outage TasScan runs at most one catch-up scan, and only if the missed time is recent.
- A schedule runs as the person who created it. If they leave the organization or lose the right to launch scans, it pauses.
Authenticated schedules
A schedule can use an authentication profile when it targets a single asset (a tag group cannot). You tick the three confirmations once and TasScan records who confirmed and when.
- Rotating the secret or changing the allowed origins pauses its schedules at once ("Paused: confirm again"). Use Confirm again to resume.
- If the profile is deleted or disabled, your plan no longer includes authenticated scanning, or the schedule owner lost the permission, the schedule pauses and shows why.
- A scheduled scan never silently runs without signing in.
- After three failed sign-ins in a row it pauses. Check or rotate the credentials, then resume.
