Paying online is available when TasScan has switched online billing on. When it has not, the Subscription page and the pricing page show your plan and its limits with Contact sales instead of purchase buttons.
Who can do what
| Role | Subscription page |
|---|---|
| Owner, billing admin | Everything: subscribe, change plan, cancel, resume, open the payment portal, see invoices and the payment method |
| Admin | See the plan, usage, invoices and payment method; cannot change anything |
| Other roles | See the plan and usage against the limits |
Changing anything needs a recent two-factor check: if you have not confirmed a code in the last 15 minutes you are asked for one first. A user without two-factor authentication is asked to turn it on before billing changes.
Subscribe or upgrade
Pick a paid plan and monthly or yearly billing. You pay on Stripe's own hosted pages; TasScan never sees or stores your card number, only the brand, last four digits and expiry month and year so you can recognize the card.
If you already subscribe, moving to a higher plan, or from monthly to yearly, takes effect immediately and you are charged the prorated difference for the rest of the period straight away. If that payment fails, the plan does not change and nothing is half-applied. Enterprise is arranged with our team; contact us.
Downgrade
A move to a lower plan, or from yearly to monthly, is scheduled for the end of the current billing period. You keep the current plan until then, and the Subscription page shows the pending change. A downgrade is refused, with a list of what is over the limit (for example "assets: 7 of 3"), while you use more assets or members than the lower plan allows: remove some first. Choosing your current plan again cancels a pending downgrade.
Trials
If a trial is configured, your first paid subscription starts with a free period. You get a "trial ending" notice three days before it ends and are charged when it does.
