Verify with an HTTP file

1. In the portal open the asset, choose Verify ownership → HTTP file and copy the token.

2. Create a plain-text file that contains only the token on its own line.

3. Publish it at:

   https://yourdomain.com/.well-known/tasscan-verification.txt

4. Press Check verification.

How the check works

• We request the https:// address first and then http://.
• Only the first 4 KB of the file are read.
• Redirects are followed only on the same host name, for example http:// to https:// or a path change. We never follow a redirect to a different host, including www..
• If your site redirects the bare domain to www, add www.yourdomain.com as its own asset, or use the DNS TXT method.
